After seeing all the beautiful shops here, I'm a little reluctant to post these, but here goes anyway. My shop is located out in the country, 4 miles north of Modale Iowa, on the farm where my wife and I live. Modale is about 30 miles north of Omaha Ne. on the Iowa side of the Missouri river. I know of no other woodworkers in the area so it's kind of a lonely existance out here. So if you are ever close please stop in. Well enough of this babble, and with my wifes help on to the pics.

We drive right by Modale every fall for apple picking in Mondamin. My wife's family has done it every year for 30 years or something.

Hi Mike,

You have a great looking shop. I have seen many shops with two of the same tools. However, I don't think I have ever seen a shop with two TV's... On your Powermatic lathe, did you make the swing arm for the tail stock? That looks like it would be real handy.

Very nice. I'm thinking about bringing a small fridge into mine, but the wife thinks it's a silly idea. I have to have her look at yours! The cabinets above the bench are nice. I especially like the plane storage with the magnets. I think I'll copy that.

Hi Mike, great shop. I was in Omaha a few years back for about six weeks at Christmas. I had see every shopping mall in the city. Even Victoria's Secret. Fortunately I did have some entertainment at the Council Bluffs Casino and greyhound racing.

I see you live on a farm and do woodwork. At least we would have something in common as I am an Animal Nutritionist.

Thanks for the shop pics, it is always good to see a fellow woodworkers shop and their is always something that can be gleaned from them.

Over the past two months I've been thinking seriously about a total remodel of my shop - a 20x20 cinder block building in North Central Indiana. There are a couple of shops that have me inspired. Your's just jumped to the top of the list. Thanks for sharing the tour. What is the total square footage of your shop? I'm determined not to start another project until the remodel is complete. How do you heat your shop?

Mike thats a great shop and reminds me of what I'm trying to achieve at some point in the future. Another fellow Iowan here(still coming to grips with that, I grew up in Kansas) but I also am a country woodworker living south of Shenandoah, about 12 miles east of I-29 and 3 miles north of the Iowa/Missouri state line. Next time I'm heading up your direction I'll have to shoot you a PM.

I'm a big fan of clean, decked out shops and this is one of the nicest I've seen. Absolutely stunning! What caught my eye is the open cabinet storage you have above your workbench. That gives me some good ideas I may incorporate into my shop soon. Thanks for sharing.. Like another person said, I would be interested to know what you have for heating also.
