A wood turner on this site has wood medallions engraved with his name and a opening in the center for a penny to be glued in to show the date of the turning.
Any one have any suggestions or access to do this for me? A creeker by the name of George Perzel did his. I can not find him in the members list.
Any ideas You could even do the medallions out of aluminum or brass ?

Thasnks for your help! George Morris

George is out there and does monitor SMC so I'm sure you will here from him.

Most any one here could do that for you. George has quite the selection of wood and may be able to do it in most woods you would like.

Do a search for George Perzel and you'll likely find a post of his.

Wood is very easy. Any laser or rotary machine could handle it.

For 1/8"-1/4" brass or aluminum, you are looking at something that would probably need to be done on a heavier duty 3 axis CNC. A cheaper solution, and a nice alternative, would be to use plastic that has a veneer that looks like brushed brass or aluminum.
