Jaw Interchangability

Folks,

Do any of you have any experience if fitting other brands of chuck jaws to a Wood River chuck? I would like to fit a set of jaws similar to the Nova long nose set to a Wood River chuck. So far as I know, Wood River doesn't have such a set available.

I don't have a Wood River chuck so don't know what the jaw screw hole spacing is. The spacing on the Nova and Oneway Talon chucks is 25mm.

Find out from Woodcraft. WoodRiver is their house brand, and they also carry Nova chucks and jaws.
Talon and Nova are not identical match. You can put the Talon jaws on Nova chuck after filing off the limiting pin. You can't fit Nova jaws on Talon because the width of the groove is different. I don't think that is a sound practice for turning something big and long.
