View Full Version : Hexagon Leg for Table

To get a hexagon leg cut on my table saw from a square piece I've always just did slight adjustments over and over making 30 degree cuts until I got the fence set just right and the leg to come out even on all 6 sides. Are there any secrets (mathmatically speaking) to just set it up and know it will come out right on the first setup? I'm making a table similar to the one below.

Yeah, glue it up from 6 angled pieces. That's what I do anyway. If you do a lot of them and have a router table it may be worth investing in an angled bit and running the edges that way.
When I do them I use an insert head on my tilting shaper and it makes glue lines that are practically invisible:D
