Has anyone figured out a way to adapt the oval port under the disc on these to a 4" dust hose? I found a thread from 2006, with laments but no solution. Would appreciate seeing setups that have worked.

I had the Griz 1276 (?) combo sander and sold it recently, partially due to the fact I never used the belt portion and partially because I hated this oval dust port. I will get just a disc sander with a conventional dust port that I can run a shop vac or DC line to.

Well, I took some good quality 4" hose, squashed it to an oval shape, and just used a whole lot of duct tape.

It would be nice if Grizzly made an adapter for that oval hole to a 4" port. And while they're at it, changed the 3" port on the belt to a 4". Are you reading this, Shiraz?

I have a cousin who help me design and 3-D printed two stunning dust ports (2.5" hose) for my Grizzly G-1276 sander. They work great! Here are some pictures:

He made one for the belt side one that bends 90 degrees to the left. Let me know if you would like further pics.
