Some others may want to try this. I took the knob off the rod that applies blade tention and welded a couple nuts on it. The I adjust using my 3/8 inch battery impact wrench...adjusts in a couple seconds.

I understand that makes it easier & quicker to adjust, but how'd you save $150? Is that instead of buying an easy-adjust knob? Would you be worried about overtensioning the blade with an impact wrench?

I posted this thread in a hurry, should have given more detail. The savings is because now I dont have to buy the $150+ lever arm to put tension on and off. I have a 1/2" Dewalt 18V impact with a 3/8" adapter. I just barely pull the trigger and in a second I am on the right tension. Right hand on the Dewalt, left hand moving blade side to side and eye on the mark at the rod...works great.

Looks like that should work, I did spend the $150 on my Jet 14".

I guess what I like about it is I can get the blade tension just the the way I like it and then release it and come right back to the same spot just by raising the handle.

Bill: Do you have a picture of that $150.00 lever arm mounted on your saw?

No, but I can take one tonight when I get home.
There is really not a lot to it and I did notice there are up to $179 now, I only gave $139 for mine on Amazon and now Amaxon is $159.

Sorry, got busy last night and didn't them takem.

Here they are, all the way untensioned, half tensioned, full tension and the last one is a close view of the unit on the saw. It is noting to install and takes maybe 20 min.

Thanks Bill. NOW I understand how that works. My Grizzly G0555X came with a tension lever. Mine works just fine. This aftermarket one that you have, however, looks to be much more substantial.

Thanks again for the pics.
