Hello, I recently purchased the Sherrill woodworking hollowing system, but it didn't come with sharpening instructions. I requested them from the website, but they weren't included in the packaging.

Since I would like to start experimenting with my new tool, does anyone know where I could find instructions for how to sharpen this tool and a description about what the various sharpeners are used for?

Nick - Welcome to the Creek!

Your hollowing system consists of carbide cutters and High Speed Steel (HSS) cutters - you can only sharpen the HSS bits.

I'm going to point you to 2 other threads that should have all the info you need regarding sharpening your cutters. Let us know if you have any questions once you go through the info.

Steve,

Thanks for the links, they do answer a lot of the questions I had. I'm just getting started, but all of the pictures have made me want to try a hollow form, so I'm ready to get started.
