I bought the combo at Woodcraft last night with the sliding panel and Incra 1000 gauge. In case anyone was wondering if it's worth $300 (like I was), the answer is YES. This is a really well made, and well thought out product, plus it's much nicer than any of my shop made sleds.

Anyhow, I was a little skeptical, but it was time for a nicer sled and I didn't feel like making another other. I figured I'd try it, and I have to say that I'm pretty darn happy with it. It really makes dimensioning the rough wood I buy very simple and accurate. The hold down is great, the flip down stop works well, and everything can be made to work either to the left or right of the blade.

Is there anything you gain with this combo over the Miter 5000. I have been thinling about the 5000 and it can be had for about $280.
