I'm just about finished my chair. Time for the hardware. I did not want to use the wooden pins for the back rest. I found this gentlemen that made me a pair of these brackets. The tails on the arms were flat, even though the arms were bowed. These brackets attach to the under side of the arms,or on the top if you prefer. A 3/8 steel rod fits in the hooks which allowsyou to position the back rest to your comfort zone. Here's where you can contact Lary. Just thought I would give you all a heads up on this,as it sure makes life easier. He can make these components for you plus hinges if you want and they look so darn cool on the chair
