Which positioner is better, easier to use, and more heavy duty? I plan to make a fence for the sliding table on my Felder K500Pro

Mark, I have the cl-18 setup on my router table for approx. 5-6 years now. It's very well made. I also have the jointech smart miter for my table saw. Been pleased with that also. The only issue I had with the cl-18 was if the micro-adjuster had too much sawdust in it, it wouldn't work. Just had to blow out the dust and all was fine. You may want to research customer service issues with jointech.I've read on a couple of sites that there was a change in mgmt from when I originally bought mine and some have had trouble getting problems resolved.I can't attest to that because I've yet to have a problem with mine. I have both and I can tell you that the jointech is beefier (sp). The aluminum itself is a thicker gauge and the actual arm has a larger cross section. That being said I don't think the incra is going to break anytime soon. They both do the same job very well.

I had an Incra and sold it for a Jointech about 4 years ago. I felt the Jointech was a bit more stout, and didn't have as many setup procedures to change over from one operation to another. That is just what my observations concluded. The Incra is well made, I'd suggest looking at both in the flesh if at all possible.

Before you buy anything Jointech you might want to check out this thread, about half way through where he decided to purchase Jointech. Sounds like lousy service and some product issues. I've read other places about their service deteriorating lately. http://festoolownersgroup.com/other-tools-accessories/router-tables-and-fences/msg93143/?topicseen#msg93143
