Dose any one know exactly how thick the tool post is for the Tormek grinder/ sharpener ? the part that is shaped like an [N] but with the tail straight to one side. or what rod thickness to mach with.
I was thinking of making up a jig for my grinder using there stuff.
thanks .

If interested Ive been looking for ideas for my dust collector and found
http://www.ptreeusa.com/dusthose.htm
In Georgia.

They carry 2,3 and 4 inch flex pipe that stays stays in place once you've set it in a position. Im exited as this will work very well on my drill press and over my band saw/table saw. Cheep but shipping could change that.

3" x 10' Black Flex Hose $12.99
4" x 10' Black Flex Hose $19.99

Raul,

It's 12mm.

However this: Tormek Bench Grinder Mount (http://www.sharptoolsusa.com/index.php?target=product&prodID=214&catID=3) might save you some aggravation.

Is this what you want to do?

If you are looking for the diameter of the Universal Tool Holder, so you can use Tormek jigs on your grinder, then it's 12 mm.

12 mm it is,

yes something like that will due real nice . I may make some attachments but Id like to tune it to my set up and be able to use there attachments

I plan on shaping/cleaning with this then polishing out with stick wax polishes on a circular mdf board attached to a motor. Found someone with this simple set up and looks like quick clean solution to a sharp edge. With out getting a loan at the bank.

Those Tormek machines sure look nice to work with maybe even fun.
