I've really enjoyed viewing all the creative and awesome tool holders you folsk ahave posted. But since my lathe isn't along a wall, I really didn't want a wall mount. And, I didn't want a large rolling cabinet either. Frankly, I didn't know what I wanted which is why I didn't build anything...until now.
I happen to see this simple, compact design in an old Woodsmith magazine and thought I'd give it a try. It can be built in a day or two with mostly items in stock. I added the extention off the top from the original design to hang my face shield and hat. It takes up very little floor space and rolls out of the way easily.
4" PVC
1/2 all thread w/nuts and washers
3/4" plywood
casters
a few screws, etc.
