Spalted Holly finished

I finished it today. it sits 4-1/4" tall and 4-7/8" wide. Finish is Watco Dainish Oil Natural sanded to 600 grit then buffed not waxed as i don't have any right now. Then as i was buffing it i dropped the lid i think it hit every hard and sharp thing in my shop before it found its way to the concrete floor

Eric, that is some gorgeous wood!! Very nice lidded box, there, and a great looking finish on it so far. The wax will set it off.

I dropped one of my bowls as I was doing some finish work on it - got sick to my stomach before it ever hit the floor. I have gotten better about handling them over the shop floor, but still catch myself doing stupid stuff with them.
