Louis, that's the first "Buck Rodgers" edition of the Miller Falls line of planes I've ever seen up close, thanks to you. It looks great. Let us know how it works after you get it up to speed.

Will do Richard. BTW, there's another one up for auction...just went on last night! Don't have the post handy, but do a search for Buck Rogers under the collectibles/tools/woodworking and you'll see a bunch of pics with the plane disassembled...here's one of the pics...Hope the poster doesn't mind that I copied it!!!

Is it a nice plane or more showy? I like it. :)

Can't answer that yet Chris...since the plane's still in transit. But for all intents and purposes, the reviews say that it's a well designed plane that works extremely well for its' intended purpose...namely, cabinetmaking. The reviewers also state that the mouth isn't fine enough for "fine woodworking". We'll see...very soon. If it shaves wood, it's fine by me!

I pretty much already have all the planes I need...yeah right!...but I've been intrigued with the "Buck Rogers" planes ever since I first saw one...so I bid on it without ever thinking that I'd actually own it. I guess everyone was busy with Trick-or-Treaters and forgot to up the ante!!! Oh JOY!!! I won't tell you what I paid for it, but let's just say that it's a far cry from what others have sold for....:D

Too cool!

Now, you need to get some matching stuff, like this saw:

And this drill:

There's even a Buck Rogers hack saw... there was a whole line of Buck Rogers tools, IIRC.

Man, what would that shop look like? :p

I actually entertained the idea of starting a collection of Garth Huxtable designed tools, ie, Buck Rogers stuff...and then I scared myself "STRAIGHT"!

The thought of a plastic shop is a frightening thing...and Hallow'een IS over!!!
