View Full Version : Hand Wheel Source???

Hi All,
Does anyone know of a good source for a hand wheel that fits a jet 1236 lathe. I just started making pens and it is a pain turning the mandrel by hand and trying to sand a apply finnish. I checked the Jet site and I did not see any there.

Um...you could turn one! (Many folks use wooden hand-wheels if they like to use handwheels...)

Try the Grizzley catalog or website. They have a fair variety of handwheels in different sizes and shaft diameters. I put one on my PC router/shaper table (the aluminium one) to make the height adjustment easier. They cost from $5 on up, but none near $50 as I recall...
