Porter Cable 503 belt sander question

Guys,
Dumb question...I've had a Porter Cable 503 belt sander for a while and decided to check the oil today. There are 2 oil caps on the side and a note that says "oil must be level with edge of hole". Which hole, the top one or the bottom one? :confused:

Hi Joe, that would be the top one, and fill to just the bottom of the hole as sitting level. too much will push out the seal, and you won't like it.
