Done with my trusty high-speed dental tool. The collar is Bolivian Rosewood. Dia. is about 9 inches....Comments?

Beautiful turning Wally! Quite the design! Love the burl! Very nice work! Really like how the design flows around the opening and is not centered! Nice effect!

Wally, you did an exceptional job of avoiding an obvious pattern with the piercings - very random. Nice! Beautiful wood and form.

Is the border Inlace? Hard to tell from the pic.

Thanks John....The border is textured, also done with the dental tool.

Very well done - excellent piece and pattern. Those high speed drills sure make piercing a lot easier, don't they?

Overall, it's a beautiful piece, but I think the grain pattern in the collar draws my eye away from the beautiful grain in the main form. Not sure my opinion is worth the time it took you to read this, but there it is.:o
