I am not sure if this has been brought up before but I did a search that turned up no results.
I am not sure if any here know of, or are ever interested in real time woodworking chat. I know IRC (internet relay chat) is kind of old world but there are still a few woodworking channels out there. One that I have known of for many years is #woodworking on Efnet.
Many hobbies I have enjoyed have a pretty good following with IRC in that you can have conversations real time. There are of course some parts of IRC that can be annoying but for the most part it has always been a good networking tool for me.
I just thought I would mention it as I never seem to find any active woodworking chats.
