After my old chainsaw died last fall I knew I was in need of another.
This is what I bought today. A Stihl 460 with a 28" bar.
As the saying goes, It cuts like butter!

I am extremely jealous, I have the ms310 with a 24" bar, its slightly under powered with a 24" and should probably have a 20" but every now and then I am cutting up something that needs a 24".
Hopefully one day I'll be able to get something like the 460.
Congratz!
btw, nice profile pic.

Great saw!
Hefting it around for a few hours is quite an exercise program on its own. It's amazing how heavy a few extra inches of bar length start to feel after a few hours.

Heck of a saw. Must be getting old. Just thinking about using a 28" bar makes my back and shoulders ache!

Pete,
Congratulations on the new saw. I worked my way through college as a lawn mower and chain saw mechanic and you can't beat a Stihl IMO. Be careful with that beast!

Nice saw ...
I have an older Stihl (031?) from the 70's that still works just dandy.
