Quick question...

Does DNA disolve or destroy titebond or superglue. I have a couple of repaired items I'd like to soak.

Thanks

Don't know about the Titebond with DNA. But I do know that CA is not destroyed using the LDD soak. Even if you soak for 10 days or until it is completely waterlogged and won't float.

Good Luck,

Gary,

Don't know about titebond, but quite frequently I will use CA gluse on hiarline cracks on rough outs before they go in to the DNA. The CA does come out of the DNA very white (once dry), but is certainly not dissolved.

I know it doesn't bother CA or epoxy.

Seems to me I remember reading somewhere using alcohol to clean cured white glue:eek:. Don't know if that applies to titebond, which is a yellow glue:confused:. You might try putting a smear of titebond on a piece of wood, letting it cure for a couple of days, and seeing if alcohol will bother it:D.
