I found someone selling a baby grizzly sander for $300, he says that it's in great shape, my question is, do people feel like that is a good price, and what do you end up using your drum sanders for. In the past I have always belt sanded anything that I laminated up and this is only 12" wide, so my laminations wouldn't be too wide. It seems like a pretty decent price, I just want to know if I would get enough use out of it to justify the cost.

I have a performax 16-32 and use it for almost every project. If you got the loot, I say pick it up, I dont think you will be sorry.

I have one of those sanders from Grizzly that I paid $600 for and use it quite a bit. I make small items so 12" wide is plenty wide for me. It does hog a lot of power to run so a seperate 20amp circut is a good idea. It is HEAVY so I put wheels under it and roll it under a bench on the floor when not in use.

I have the 16-32 also, and I use it more than I ever thought I would. I don't know any specifics on the Griz, but a drum sander is really useful. If you don't have a dust collector, you'll need one. The drum sander makes an incredible amount of dust.

I have the Delta 18-36 that has saved me lots of work, however,it is often necessary to adjust the bed so the drum is even all the way across.

Don't know what yours would cost new, but it sounds like a good deal.

I've got a serious jones to build my own, but for $300, I'd jump on it!

I have one and love it. I use it for just about everything. It is a good idea to use dust collection of some sort though. Id does make a big mess.
