I'm looking for a font that can be used for cutting out of paper. So the center of say the letter "a" stays in tack. I'm not looking to use the letters that are cut out, but the remaining "frame".

Any stencil font. Or you can make your own stencil font by adding the 'tabs' in yourself. A board search for 'stencil font' should give you some downloads.

Might consider looking for scroll saw fonts. There are some good ones.
