Here are a few mini turnings I have been making.
spalted maple bowl,oak burl hf,walnut hf with dogwood deer antler finial,
and a oak burl bowl.

Looks pretty cool Kenneth! I haven't tried minis - just can see anything that small - but I know Jeff Nicol does a lot of them!

I have been looking at the magnifiers to use for detail work, but even then I don't think I could do one of these!!! What happens when you part that sucker off in the shavings???!!??! It could get lost in a heartbeat.

Really fine work on the finial. Very neat!! Thanks.

Pretty cool. There are some folks who sell a bunch of these on eBay at some pretty ridiculous prices. Great way to use those tiny little pieces of burl.

Now I know for sure there is no such thing as scrap when you have a lathe! Pretty neat.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I use reading glasses from the dollar store. Scrap what is that I try and use everything. Things do get lost in the chips. I go to the landfill to take trash away and come back with more than I took lol. The wife hates it.:rolleyes:
