I am thinking about making a shuffleboard table and was wondering about the finish, I would like to put a logo of sorts in the center of the table. How would I go about this? I know the surface needs to be perfectly smooth so do I paint it underneath the finish or is there an easier way? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Kerry,

I have done some googling and came up with what you are looking for. I beileve the process would be to paint what ever you want on the clean wood, and then put a self-leveling and hardening finish on it.

I have a 6' long piece of old bowling lane (to be ripped lengthwise for a 12' table) and a wife desperate to play some shuffleboard...

I will try and post the links that I think I saved when I get home tonight. Hopefully others can chime in though.

Ben

Ok, the links I had stored, as promised!

I kept this link for the detailed photo of the "climatic adjuster" it was about the only one that I could find...

A build detail from the AVS forums...

Hopefully some of that can help!

Hopefully I start building my new house this spring so I he room for a shuffle board table. That has been the deciding factor in not building one for a while now.
