Makita 3901 Biscuit Jointer

I have a Makita 3901 biscuit jointer. Either the springs are weak or something is dragging in the slide. The frame does not spring back when you pull the body back after making a cut. It is OK most of the time, but every once in a while it kicks sideways and messes up the wood. It is dangerous to use like this.

I tried Boeshield, but maybe I should put some dry lube on the slides.

It does probably just need lubed but what ever you do don't use Boeshield unless you want something to get gummed up, hold dust, be tacky and not slide very well. It may keep water away but that is about the only thing it does well.
