I have needed a period looking Mini Cooler for some time now to replace the larger one that is too heavy for me to handle anymore shown in post #10 here, http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=28401&highlight=multipurpose

Its made out of salvaged lumber and I have been working on it for some time while I have been out doing my twice a year limit of demonstrating, so the dovetails are nowhere near as good as they would have been doing them in my basement shop with no crowd around watching and asking questions and asking to help, etc. This one is tall enough to store a 2 liter bottle of Pepsi and just in time for the demo at the Big Woodworking Show in KC as part of the Guilds presence. It also serves as an extra stool too. Its about 10 by 13 inside before the styrofoam was added.

Nothing stands out as bad as a modern plastic cooler among a setting of antiques, demonstrator included. LOL

Did you waterproof it for ice?

Randall, it will never have loose ice in it. the only thing I use in any of my coolers is washed out 16 oz. clear plastic drink bottles that I fill almost full and put in the freezer to freeze.

No mess, they are reusable, and very seldom during a day will all the ice ever melt, but when it does thaw a bit, you have nice cold drinking water.
