When looking at the Morse taper adapters on the CS website I saw an accessory on the adapter page called a drift key in MT2 and MT1 size. Anyone know what this drift key is for and how is it used?

Drift Keys quickly removes taper shank drills or reamers from sleeves or sockets. Ken

From the name I would assume it is used to extract your morse taper from the adaptor. There should be a slot on the side of the adaptor socket for the drift to slide in and "wedge" the accessory taper out of the socket.

I couild easily be wrong but I believe a drift key is used to seperate the chuck/taper from a drill press arbor...Bill...
