This is just a huge bummer. Fans of the show, "The Deadliest Catch", know Captain Phil Harris as a rough, old-school fishing boat captain. On January 29, he was helping his crew unload crab on St. Paul Island, in the middle of the Bearing Sea. He had a massive stroke, right there on deck, and never recovered. He was 53.

Thoughts and prayers go to his sons, and the rest of their family.

I'm a fan. Rest in peace, Captain.

Rest in piece, Phil. We'll miss you.

I'll be 53 in 24 days. Boy, he died very young. I hope Discovery channel digs up some 'lost' footage for a tribute show.

That is sad. I enjoyed the show. He was one of the few captains I'd of gone to sea with.

RIP Phil, I will miss him. I feel sorry for his kids. They very much looked up to him.

That is very sad to hear. I hope his boys and crew are doing well and our thoughts and prayers go out to them.

I will definitely miss Phil. I think that show is still strong because of the personalities of the captains on that show.

I never met him though his and several other boats sail out of the piers where I work. He was always my favorite on the show too, it won't be the same without him.
