Can anyone with a Grizzley G1026 3hp shaper tell me how long you owned it and how it has performed, any problems with fence, motor etc. Does it have enough power? I am in the market to move up to a shaper so any info would be a help. Thanks.

I've had one for about five years. I've used it pretty much exclusively for large panel cutters. It has never bogged down, even with my biggest cutters cutting full depth. The fence is sturdy and servicable, though a bit old school. The table was surprisingly well finished. Grizzly could have spent a little more on the magnetic starter. Mine is plastic and seems out of place on an other wise robust machine. My machine came with several different size spindles, which was a big plus. IMO the 1026 is one of those rare deals where one can get a real industrial quality machine on the cheap. If you can live without the bells and whistles, you can't go wrong with the 1026.
