Ok My mind is just plain brain dead tonight. I am watching tv and a commercial come on and says I can buy this great "fake" coin for only something like 20 dollars. I wasn't born yesterday. The real kicker was that it could only be bought at that price for seven days because of the price of gold going up daily.
So here comes my question for all of you. How much gold value is in a coin clad with 31 Milligrams of gold? I just looked and gold is at 1064.0 an ounce.
I am not going to buy this at any price but am just mad at myself for not being able to figure this out.
Thanks to anyone who can help me out here.....

Let's see - 1 gram = 0.0321507466 troy ounces

1mg = 0.0000321507466 troy ounces

31mg = 0.000996673

At $1064 per troy oz, 31mg are about $1.06

Man was that quick. Thanks guys. I am not the brightest bulb on the bush, but sometimes I surprise even me.
Even without knowing just how much it was worth I felt that it couldn't have made much difference......
I get a big kick out of most of these late night commercials. I guess you have to get a laugh wherever you can.......
Thanks again guys...

I love Google calculator. If you write in the regular google search box:

"31 milligrams in Troy ounces"

Then it tells you that:

31 milligrams = 0.000996673144 Troy ounces

Using the same technique you find out that:

70 miles per hour = 188 160 furlongs per fortnight.

Now that's good trivia!

Not only is the gold not worth much, but I heard a coin dealer on the radio telling people that those gold clad coins and the ones that have been colorized are worthless to coin collectors. So if it had been worth anything, it's not now,
