This morning I visited an apartment building about to be renovated. The owner offered up the existing cabinets for $5.00 each to whomever wanted to remove them. I got six cabinets.
The cabinets aren't bad. They have oak face frames and doors. But I think I'm going to paint them white for my shop. Some of them have some serious kitchen grease on them. I'm not sure Simple Green will cut it for this job. Should I try acetone, or something similar?
What other kind of prep would be best here? Would primer be necessary? I have a two stage compressor. I'm thinking it might be time I broke down and bought a spray gun. An suggestions for spray guns? For this first job, I'd be spraying latex enamel.
