Ken, what is the approximate size of the goblet? And, what kind of burl is that? I purchased several cut blocks of Australian burl that I haven't done anything with yet, and that really caught my eye!

It is Oak burl. I have a lot of it coming when a sawyer friend of mine gets to a large 35" x 11' long oak log that is pure burl. The piece is small at 8" tall and only 2-1/2" in diameter. It sold first at $80. I wish I had five more to sell last night because there was a lot of interest in it.

My host says most of the sales come later after the initial show, so we will see. Either way it was a lot of fun, and I saw a lot of people I had not seen in years. The wine was great and we were all glowing by nights end.....
