Need advice about shelving location

Would like to put 3/4" plywood and MDF shelving here,but I am a little concerned about any potential problems because there is a wood fireplace above.

Thought about putting shelves 8' long to stack wood. Don't know if the air exchanger would cause any warping in the wood.

Thats what I am asking, and in the second pic, you see a air exchanger, is that going to cause stored wood on shelves to warp?

On #1, I would not worry about it. If you want to ease your concerns, put a thermometer right @ the top and see how warm it gets. I doubt a stove above would cause any issues. You could also install a piece of 2" rigid foam insulation to the ceiling, "just in case".

On #2 - I honestly do not know. I would consider "boxing-in" the exchanger just to "isolate" it from the wood.
