This is followup for this thread: http://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=131188
Got it for around $425 after taxes and waiting for that digital readout rebate to go through.
Was able to unload from my car and assemble it in the basement by myself. Main part was super heavy but I rolled it on and secured to folded cardboard and then quite easily was able to slide it.
Still have to setup blade to be parralel to miter slot, it burns left piece slightly on miter cuts.
First upgrade impressions (comparing with my old cheap Ryobi portable slider):
- huge work surface
- no real need for hearing protection
- almost no vibration (old saw moves little offcuts into the blade and launches them with high speed)
- easy to move with built in wheels
- finally real miter slots!
- riving knife is awesome! Finally a splitter that is not in a way!
