I saw an add in the new AAW journal today for this new lathe from Penn State and thought I would post a link to it. On paper it looks like a great deal for a 12" swing 1hp VS lathe. I've never turned on any of their lathes but I'm sure someone here has. Looks like they aren't in stock yet, but it might be worth looking into. I hope posting this link is OK, I don't have any thing to do with this company, just thought it might interest a few people on the creek.

That looks like an nice lathe it certainly addresses most concerns one might have. It will be interesting to see them in action to determine their functionality, and quality

If it's MT2 and 1x8, I will be seriously considering selling my jet 1014I for it.

It is. Put it on Craig's List, Gordon.
That little PSI lathe looks like it's going to be the cat's meow. Might just make an attempt to buy a motor from them, for Little Vic.

It says it is a 1 x8 and MT2 in the instructions.

For the price if it is any good at will give the Jet and Delta a run for there money. Still cheaper than either of these with a bed extension to boot.

Will be interesting to see what folks think once the lathe hits the market!
