Anybody here ever try to mount a mobile job-site miter saw stand to the top of a cabinet or mobile cart for shop use?

I like the workpiece support extensions on the portable stands, but want to be able to fold it up and put it on top of a mobile cart for use in the shop (while still being able to use the workpiece supports on the left and right side). Then, when I have to take the saw to a job site, I want to be able to remove the mobile stand from the cart and roll it to the job site.

I mounted my 10" chop saw on a Craftsman roll away tool chest. Works very well for me. I saw plans in Shop Notes or Handyman for fabricating an easily made fold down extension table for use on a roll away base.

I also mounted my bench top drill press and small router table on roll aways and it suits me in my crowded garage shop. The drawers in roll aways are very useful for organizing small tools.
