Hello everyone,

I have just had our two car carport enclosed to make a garage. My intention is to use the space as a weekend hobbyist shop.Since the walls used to be exterior they are brick .Obviously its going to be cost prohibitive to tear down the brick and run the circuits for the machinery in the walls. So I had an electrician install a surface mount 60a sub-panel.My question is: Could I use the Liquidtight flex conduit to run the circuits to the machinery locations?Or would it be better to use EMT ?And since the garage is enclosed to I even need to worry about weather tight boxes ?

I'd run EMT, and if it's enclosed you don't need weatherproof boxes or fittings.

I'd second the EMT reommendation. Cheaper and more durable - esp. if stuff gets hung from it or leaned against the wall.
