setup tool / wolverine system

Do you use a setup tool like the Raptor for your sharpening ? Did you makeyour own ? I just bought the wolverine system ,the one I had was homemade and I have been using the Vari grind jig , the set up on the tool is different form what I been using . Just though I would put it out there and see what you all where using. Some new ideas I might keep what I been using , or try some thing new. :confused:

Did you make your own setups jig , what do they look like ect.

wolverine/varigrind... i think that's what most of the folks on here use for sharpening a long grind bowl gouge. Most everything else I sharpen with the platform attachment for the wolverine.

I use the platform for skews and scrapers. A black marker and eyeball it. Adjust then grind. The bowl gouges same way except use the varigrind accessory. Best wishes.:)
