I just found this forum and thought I would see if I could find some information here. Awhile back I saw an add for a router "plunge bar." My faulty memory suspects it was called a router rat or plunge rat, some kind of rat. It is a 3rd party add-on accessory. I have been trying to locate the product on the internet and have been unsuccessful. Can anyone here give me some direction. Also, if you know what I am talking about and have used it I would appreciate any comments.

Welcome to the 'Creek Jim.....I'm unable to answer your questions but I'll bet others can.

Jim, your memory isn't too bad. The accessory is called a PlungeBar and is made by WoodRat. You can order them in the US by going to http://www.chipsfly.com

I have one on my DeWalt DW625 and another for the DW621 which I put on and take off as needed. It is a very handy accessory and although originally designed with the WoodRat in mind, it is useful when the router is in the table, or being hand held. I like it on the ornamental mill as well.

Oh, and welcome to the Creek.

Dave
