I am looking for a source for some nice items that I can laser-engrave a logo on, and have them passed out at a convention.

when I got my laser, I got some real nice key-chains, with a hardwood tags, with it. I don't know where they originally came from, so I was hoping someone may have some good sources.

I'm sure you could order those from LaserBits, or you could cut your own from 1/8" wood and buy the parts yourself. You could make a ruler out of 1/8" acrylic or even wood. Whatever you do, make sure it's something that lots of people will likely want or they will just end up in a landfill somewhere.

Mike,

Get the 6" carpenters square cdr from this forum and cut them from acrylic. They are unique and people love them, keep em on their desks. Won't cost you anything but some cheap material.

I tried a search, but didn't come up with it. Any help with finding that thread and file would be great!

Keith

Thanks for the reminder about the carpenters square.
I downloaded it the first time and forgot about it.
Today I had time and some 1/16 red acrylic.

It turned out great. And right on the money without any adjustments.
I know a lot of folks that will like this.

They are definately handy. I keep one in my shop made from 1/4" thick clear acrylic for those small jobs and one on my desk at work for quick layout measurments on door signs.

I have given away a lot of these with my name and phone number on them, the return on investment has been great :)
