Getting ready for Valentine's Day.......

60 pieces of purpleheart and one piece of curly maple. (maple is a floating disc in the bottom) 5" tall and 6.5" wide. No finish, as I am waiting a few days for the wood to turn purple again. I made something out of another piece of this same board of purpleheart before. It turns BRIGHT purple after 24-48 hours, but it is brown as walnut right after you sand or cut it. I put some mineral spirits on it and the purpleheart really pops out nicely though.

Sorry about the photos. I sanded to 400 and even without any finish, the flash was still very reflective.
