Tenplast / Styrene

I am looking to find out if tenplast and styrene are two names for the same product. Styrene I have read is laser safe and good to work with but no luck on tenplast. A google and SMC gave up little info on tenplast.

I have never had any luck with styrene in the laser. It just melts or burns.

I also checked Synrad's applications database and came up empty for styrene.

I found a couple of references to tenplast on Goggle but no links to styrene.

Thanks Mike. Would you or anyone else have any recomendation for a plastic type material ( should be somewhat waterproof ) I can use instead, but not as costly as black acrylic?
