After a number of nerve wrecking attempts, wasting a few trial blanks and a couple of ebonys, have come up with what some may call a finial for the redwood burl hollow form posted earlier. After the wife calling it a "funny shaped stick-handle" I guess I can take any C & C :D

That is a very, very nice looking "funny shaped stick-handle!" I think you did a superb job and a very unique piece.

The ebony is a perfect contrast for the redwood burl. Good job!!

Beautiful form Michael. My only comment would be that the top half of the "funny shaped stick-handle" above the doohickey in the middle could be a little thinner, but that is just nit-picking. Well done.

It's a beautiful piece. I like the addition of the finial. If I were to be critical, the finial seems a bit 'heavy' to my untrained eye. That is a gorgeous piece of wood, and you've done a wonderful job with it.

Thank you all for the compliments and will definetly keep in mind all the feedback while making finials in the future.
