Got to get in a bit of shop time today, here is what came of it. This is a Spalted Oak Bowl, sanded to 320, and 1 coat of antique oil. 2.75" x 7" . C&C's welcomed.

Beautiful piece of wood and a nice turning. I like the shape and rim treatment.

Gary, I love that wood!! Very nice bowl, and the pith really adds a lot of character. Combined with the spalting, and the ruggedness of the oak, the bowl has a real rustic, earthy feel to it.

Beautiful bowl, Gary. I really like the rim - the spalted oak ain't bad either. ;)
