My Laguna 1" blade arrived Monday, and I installed it this afternoon and made a few test cuts. It seems to work just fine.
Installation was uneventful. I did back off all the way on the upper and lower guides, and wore gloves during the installation. Installation and adjustments took about 15 minutes, if that, including removing the old blade. I cranked the tension up to about 7.5 out of 8.
I set the stock high resaw fence about 1/16" away from the blade by eyeball and resawed a piece of 3/4" x 4" maple, and got very consistent slices. I miked them and they were all around .054, +/- about .002 - .003, measured at six places across the length of each edge.
A little later I got a piece of scrap walnut about the same size. This time I set the fence at 1/16" using a pocket scale, and resawed off a few more pieces. These miked at .062 or so, also +/- about 2-3 thou.
