Is there a piece of hardware that will allow me to do this? Have folding doors that can slide into a recess as well? (The hollow rectangles would be glides).

Having trouble getting the width of doors you want to jam back into the cabinet? Try tambour doors -- like the top of a rolltop desk, except sideways.

Standard flipper door hardware should work fine. Use either SOSS hinges or a piano hinge for the bifold hinge. I usually use the KV (Knape & Vogt) "4X4" 8090 series of flipper door hardware. There are lots of others too.
