Excellent Wally! Has a Native American flair to it! Really like the contrast of color and also texture!

Hope this means you are feeling better! Thanks for sharing!

Did you set off the smoke detectors? :p :D

That is really cool Wally. I love the variations in the color of the pyrography.

Wally,

I really like it. I like to "see the wood" and, therefore, don't usually like embellishments that cover large sections of the piece. However, this piece is a wonderful exception to that rule. The black frames the leaves nicely; at the same time, it emphasizes the form's elegant shape. Very nice!

Very nice piece. Lately I have really been interested in the carved and burned work. I think it adds a lot to the piece.

Nice work, Wally! I kind of like the title to the pic - "An Outy"!!:D Like David, I normally don't care for a lot of embellishment, but this one sure works!

Beautifully done. May I ask how you did the back round. It looks like a center punch did the dimpling. The color has a hint of red mixed in with the black. Was the black all burned or dyed. Whatever you did, it is stunning.

Thanks Folks, for all of your kind comments. Actually, this piece was done a couple of years ago and has been sold. Haven't been making any smoke lately.
