How to make a weed pot with tube insert.

One of the first projects I plan to do after I make a couple of handles is to make a few weed pots. I want to make the ones that you insert a test tube into to hold a few fresh flower stems, probably about an inch in diameter and about 4 or 6" in lenght. Anyone got a sequence of steps for making one of these?

Jack that is the video I watched to make my first. I just drilled out the center for the glass tube. Then just add your creativity.

Thanks again Roger, BTW would you know where to get tubes for inserts? I did come across a small article that talked about using some pvc clear hose from Lowes and hotmelt gluing the bottom to plug it up. Then I read somewhere you could order test/beecker tubes??

Check out the wood turners catalog. They've got lots of turning related stuff and have a very nice hardcopy color catalog. I think that there are stainless steel inserts as well.
