3520B Tool Rest Question

I am looking to order a 6" tool rest for my 3520B from Rick Herrell. I am not at the lathe right now, does anybody know the tool rest shaft size? is it 1" or 25mm?

Also...would an 8" overall height be a good size to get?

1" is correct. 8" is the height of powermatic's tool rest.:)
