Does anyone have this joiner? This seems like a good deal I was thinking of giving the guy a ring tonight.

I have had an 1182 with levers for 4 or 5 years with no problems. I believe mine was $325 + shipping when I bought it. I remember that it was rated well in some magazine test at the time.

Would like to stay around 300-350 for a jointer, so 8" is really out of the question. I just wonder if this lacks anything a 350 on sale ridgid jointer has. Or even a Grizzly at ~375.

The G1182HW was rated #1 by Wood Mag around 2001. It's the same basic design as the Jet, GI, Sunhill, Bridgewood, Woodtek, and Ridgid of that era. Mine's been going strong for 8 years....$250 is about what I'd want to get, but I think the reality of the market values it at closer to $200 used. That one looks to be in good shape and includes the mobile base. Ask about extra blades.

Thanks for the info.

Do you mean ask if he has any extra blades?

Here are some other pics. So does it seem like a good deal?

I would probably take that one over the Rigid on sale IMHO, It looks to be in good shape. Currently there is a Model G1182 in my neck of the woods, & the buyer is asking 250 obo. Not sure what the HW adds. Maybe heavier?

Its a 4 hr round trip for me. So weighing that in on buying a new grizzly for 375.
